B&D Ceramics Home Page
I have been networking and managed to get some cool stuff lined up in the next couple of months. Friday , Nov. 13, I will help about twenty 3 & 4 year olds to paint Christmas ornaments at Life Springs Methodist pre-school in Meansville. I will also have a booth at the Thomaston Hospital for their Bizzare Bazzar on Dec. 4. I will carry a lot of my glass bottles to that one. Then we will be hosting an open house here on Dec. 10 where those who are signed up with the Mom's Club of Griffin/Thomaston can paint an ornament. So much is going on. Such a busy time of year for us all. Happy Painting everyone!
Have a Great Time
Let the creative juices flow as you paint your piece. You will be creating memories
for yourself and for whoever sees it or receives it as a gift.
Whether you are a beginner or a lifetime veteran, this is the place to be. B&D Ceramics has been owned and operated by Bob and Diana Clark since 1985. We are located in west-central Georgia, about an hour south of Atlanta. We are just west of Meansville, only 1/2 mile east from Highway 19 on Highway 109. B & D is a traditional "sit down" shop where we work with customers one on one. You can make your own clocks, music boxes, lamps, piggy banks, an almost limitless choice of special gifts; each one created to match your needs, personality and decore. We try to keep everything in stock that you might want to finish a project.
You can purchase a special gift or order a custom-made piece. Some customers want to get their paints and pieces to work on at home. Others simply want to enjoy an afternoon or an evening 'therapy' session sitting down in a comfortable atmosphere and painting with friends. We are open three afternoons and two evenings every week. For only $10 per month you can be here every session if you chose to. If you don't want a monthly commitment, you can drop in for any single session for only $3.
We manufacture Dixie brand casting slip and we sell wholesale to other dealers.
We now take Masercard, Visa and American Express.
Free instruction is offered in all techniques to customers during regular shop hours. Special classes are also available upon request.

What do you think of these beautiful vases? This technique was featured in Cerakanvas magazine online by the Ceramic Artists Guild. Click on this link and when it loads go to page 38 http://www.ceramicartistguild.com/cerakanvasv1i4.html
These were completely hand painted without a stencil. Each one is unique as you would expect, but what is absolutely unexpected is how easy it is to complete. I am not a freehand artist, but with a little instruction and a few easy brushstrokes, anyone can create a vase (or lamp) of their own. This technique works with any piece as long as it is round.
For $25 I will teach you how to complete a vase just like the ones shown here. For those of you who are thinking (like I did) "NO WAY I could ever do that!", I offer this MONEY BACK GUARANTEE. I will supply the piece, the instruction, the firing and all the paint. The only other thing you will need is a couple of small brushes. If we fail to produce an acceptable finished piece, I will refund your money.
Wouldn't this wreath be a beautiful addition to your fall decorations?
It is done here with translucents. If you would like to have one of your own, just give me a call. I can teach you in time to have it hanging at your house for Thanksgiving.
I create custom pieces upon request. If you have any questions, please call me at 770-567-3557 or email them to me through the link below. Please be sure to use the word CERAMICS in the subject line.
